About the Transfer Process...
It's Safe: The transfer process does not damage your film in any way. We clean and lubricate the film before we begin the transfer & make any necessary film repiars. Film is scanned slowly at only 6 to 8 frames per second, so there is little stress to older, fragile film. The film is illuminated using LEDs so there is no damaging heat produced.
It's Quality "TRUE FRAME BY FRAME SCANNING": Each frame is individually captured with a broadcast quality 3CCD camera. We are able to scan each image off the sharper, emulsion side of the film through an enlarged gate so that the entire frame is visible. No cropping. You get to see 100% of your film. This is the clearest, most crisp picture possible next to a Rank Transfer.
We transfer your film to an Archival Gold Master DVD. We can also make economical copies. We will put each 5" & 7" reel on the DVD Chapter with a title of your choice or a number for each reel. (Reel 1, Reel 2, Reel 3 etc.). 3" reels will be arranged in groups of eight. This allows you to view any individual reel without having to fast forward or guess at where you are on the DVD. Also, we automatically edit out any unexposed, blank or black frames of film.
